Joshua J. Kochek serves as the President of Sun Mar Healthcare. He previously served as Chief Investment Officer of Hana2.0 Property Group from October 2019 to October 2020, where he was primarily responsible for debt/equity capital raising and growing a portfolio of attractive skilled and senior housing real estate investments. Before Hana2.0 he worked as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management for Cascade Capital Group, LLC, asset managing a portfolio of 150+ skilled nursing properties valued in excess of $1.4 billion. This followed 11 years at both Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. (NYSE: OHI) and Aviv REIT, Inc. (formerly publicly traded prior to its merger with Omega) where Mr. Kochek was Omega’s Senior Vice President of Investments from 2015 to 2019 and Aviv’s Senior Vice President, Investments and Asset Management, from 2008 to 2015. Early in his career Mr. Kochek worked at LaSalle Bank and its successor entity, Bank of America, in roles that included Credit Analyst, Assistant Vice President, and Vice President Healthcare Lending, providing lending services to the skilled nursing and senior living sectors. Mr. Kochek received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Kentucky. He has served as an executive board member of the American Senior Housing Association and a former member of the National Investment Center’s Future Leaders Council.
