Ted is the President & Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Services Group and serves on the Company’s Board of Directors. Ted joined HCSG in 2004 as a Manager-in-Training and, during his time with the Company, progressed through the ranks, serving in a variety of field-based and corporate roles, including Account Manager, District Manager, Director of Operations, Vice President of Finance, and Chief Operating Officer. Upon being named Chief Executive Officer in 2015, Ted inspired a company-wide movement spearheading the creation of its Purpose, Vision & Values. Embarking on a series of business optimization and process improvement initiatives, Ted organized the Company around its Vision – To Be The Choice For Our Customers. He also initiated an internal focus on community-based initiatives, including establishing the Company’s Going Beyond Employee Assistance Fund, instituting recruiting and hiring practices geared toward individuals who traditionally faced employment barriers (including military and veterans), and supporting numerous equal access to education programs. Prior to joining HCSG, Ted was a Certified Public Accountant and Senior Manager with Ernst & Young’s Transaction and Strategy Group in New York City, where he advised private equity and corporate clients in evaluating and navigating mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Ted holds a BS in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and Advancement Committee at The Holy Child School at Rosemont. Ted resides in Bryn Mawr, PA, with his wife and three children and is a big fan of family adventures, Philly sports, and school choice! One of the Wahl family recent highlights was a safari in Africa.
